Epic Coverage

YOU ARE COVERED WHEN YOU NEED IT THE MOST THROUGHOUT THE SEASON

Life is full of unexpected events, which is why we include Epic Coverage at no extra charge with all passes. If a covered event holds you back from your ski and ride season, you may be eligible to receive a refund for the days you miss, based on the price you paid for your pass. Plan your ski and ride season with greater confidence.

NO SIGN-UP REQUIRED

Your Season Pass includes Epic Coverage and you will be notified in the fall with instructions to customize your protection, including how to make, update or change your Epic Coverage elections.

Epic Coverage elections do not change the access of your Pass; they are used to determine refund eligibility and amount should a qualifying event occur.

Personal Coverage

Coverage includes:

• Job loss and job furloughs over six months

• Mandatory stay-at-home order from County, State or Country

• Injury, sickness or death

• Student transfer

• Pregnancy

• Visa rejections

• Jury duty

• Military transfer

• And more

Guests who submit a Personal refund request will no longer be able to use their Pass to access any resorts or receive any other ancillary Pass benefits. 

Personal Event Refund Request

Personal refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the event and are for a qualifying Personal Event only. In the event that a Qualifying Resort Closure occurred, Vail Resorts will automatically process a refund on your behalf, with no action required by you.

Note:

All Epic Day Passes give access for the 2026/27 winter season, starting fall 2026. Epic Mountain Rewards savings are valid starting winter 2026; Epic Day Passes do not receive summer scenic gondola rides.

Only Epic 4-Day, 5-Day, 6-Day and 7-Day Passes with All Resort Access include access to Telluride in Colorado and the six (6) Resorts of the Canadian Rockies.

Mobile Pass on My Epic app is not accepted at Telluride, Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, or any of our partner resorts. Don't forget to bring your physical Epic Pass card for access!

Epic 1-Day, 2-Day and 3-Day Passes with All Resort Access, and all Epic Day Passes with 32 and 22 Resort Access do not include access to partner resorts. Peak day restrictions also apply at partner resorts.

Epic Day Pass holders with All Resorts Access will be able to use any of their days at Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis and Crans-Montana in Switzerland during the 2026/27 season. The same restrictions apply if you choose to exclude peak dates.

Epic Day Pass with All Resorts access includes matching Bonus Days to use at Afton Alps, Mt. Brighton and Wilmot. For example, an Epic 4-day Pass includes 4 days to use at any of the above resorts, plus 4 additional Bonus Days at Afton Alps, Mt. Brighton and Wilmot. Learn More.
